2. Back then, black artists could not sing secular music and gospel. Just wasn't allowed. Ray Charles also took a lot of of gospel songs and turned them rock.

3. Patrick, I'm terribly disappointed that you didn't know Sam Cooke before this. But I'm glad your mind has now been exposed.
